From the towering redwoods of northern California to the lush, green beauty of Southeast Asia, this girl has done some serious relocating.
Gail Murphy grew up in Eureka, California where she had the privilege of living next to a grove of redwoods. She spent many an afternoon imagining a fallen tree to be a pirate ship or sliding fearlessly down "crate hill" on disintegrating pieces of cardboard, when she wasn't sitting under a tree reading a romance novel. In school she loved nothing more than writing creative stories. After college and a nursing degree, she moved to San Francisco where the excitement of the city and several classes in San Francisco history sparked an idea for a novel that just wouldn't go away.
Gail went back to college for a degree in ecology, got married and moved to Indonesia. Two children and twelve years later it was time for the family to leave their lovely home, wonderful friends and relatives and move back to San Francisco. Back in the Bay Area, the novel began to take shape and demanded to be written.
Although soft tropical breezes, sweet mangoes and chicken satay will always hold a special place in her heart (and stomach), San Francisco has ever been Gail's city of infinite possibilities and she is proud to present her first novel, Gold Dust, to romance fans everywhere.
There are countless stories to be told and Gail plans to tell her share of them. She is now enthusiastically working on her next novel, and as Gail has been known to say, ROMANCE FOREVER!
